I noticed Brahmin hatred online for the past 20 years. I grew up with brahmin friends and we didn't hate each other. I used to study well in my school and they did as well.
Bramhin should drop their sense of supremacy. Its high time they start preaching that all Varna's are equal.

In many parts of India, many brahmins prevent lower caste people from entering temples, having the same names as upper caste, or live in the same area. Atrocious behavior by brahmins is the root cause of the problem. As per Shrimad Bhagvad Gita according to Shree Krishna, all 4 varnas are of equal status.

@@sumalathaballa6622 Agreed. But a minor correction on understanding. Brahman is different from a brahmin caste. Brahman is a Supreme God. Let us not confuse the two. Anyone from any varna system or caste can reach the Brahman stage.
But today no such true brahmins exist, except for some handful of swamis and few strict followers.
Majority of the brahmins are by brith ONLY. As Shudra they work for companies and earn salary, some do business as Vaisya, hardly few protect dharma as Kshatriya.
True brahmin will follow the teaching of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Chapter 18, Shloka 61 onwards.
What is needed is All Brahmins must come together to form unity. ( Brahmins "Haves" must support Brahmins "Have Nots").

The one way any community can overcome persecution and antipathy towards that community is for its leaders or key figures to come out and clear misconceptions about the community, condemn those acts done in the name of the community by individuals and groups, be more inclusive and tolerant, remove exclusivity & birthrights to access resources, places and practice rituals etc. Though on paper it is said that the varna system is not necessarily birth based but character & competency based, in practice it is not quite so and discrimination happens. In the case of birth based brahmins there is this unwanted legacy they carry (maybe so in some other cases as well). One way they could overcome this is to provide access to anybody to study the shastras etc. as long as they adopt to certain conditions, practices, lifestyles etc. instead of just being birth based. Also access to temples should not be "caste" based.

@vidyamsvidya7112 I disagree with your logic complete. Intellectual is not defined by just one varna system. People from all 4 varna systems are equal and there is intelligence in all of them with higher or lower degrees. There are dumb brahmins and there are intelligent people from other varnas.
Today the most intelligent and successful businessmen are NON-brahmins and other pseudo-brahmins work under them.
When anyone works for a company and gets compensated, as per Shrimad Bhagvad Gita, chapter 18 they are shudras. All the employee from lowest grade to directors are shudra. Shudra is not a low caste person.
In one's lifetime, anyone can become a brahmin, and transition to Kshatriya to protect dharma, or to a Vaishya start a business, or a Shudra - work for compensation.

Solution to your problem: create unlimited amounts of new Brahmins. ISKCON creates Brahmins and calls it that. Akshardham does the same. That is the right template. Varna is by karma, not by birth. When we do DNA analysis, we see that we are all completely mixed. Then who set rigid "castes"? It's not even ancestry, we need to understand this and disband all recognition by birth. For example, you can claim ancestors but you can't claim to be that same occupation if you aren't specifically working in that capacity and actively propagating Sanatan.

It's a well researched fact that postings in social media can trigger a violence against Brahmins which could ultimately move towards a genociidal situation. While the Brahmins were in administration in the central and state governments in India such a situation was not that visible in India. With the exit of Brahmins in hordes to the US and the children of the the vadyars taking up engineering and chartered accountancy and the dearth of vidyarthis at Veda patashalas we were ourselves responsible partly to a situation like this. With the awakening of nationalism in the minds of Hindus in Tamilnadu there is a good hope of genociidal happening in India. Bharathiya civilization won't allow this. I haven't read the book discussed in the talk. Would like to read.

The problem is that we have some cults like madhwas who live on casting aspersions on some one as profound as Shankaracharya, and asking people not to go to shiva temples. But for the sake of money, they occupy shiva temples near udupi krishna temple, kukke subramanya temple and change the very sampradaayas there.
With this kind of cults, what unity are we talking about? Adwaitha inherently promotes unity, and these people argue against it - just due to stupid ego.
They can at least keep quiet, but their ego and politics do not allow them to... Until this kind of cults exist, we cannot do much.

Argue against the logic of Dwaithas and prove your point instead of spewing venom. I belong to Dwaitha tradition and I can see they argued using logic. Even SriVaishnava tradition shied away from adwaitha which they did not believe in, but were reluctant to fully be against, hence we have Vishitadavaitha.
Dwaithas dare to call a spade a spade. Hence we believe in panchabedhas, the most important bedha being that the paramathma is different from the jeevathma.
Do you really in the bottom of your heart believe you are a paramathma as defined by adwaitha when it says aham brahmaasmi and thath twam asi?
I for my part believe I am a poor jeevathma trying to attain moksha through bakthi and the anugraha of the paramaathma.
Having the potential to attain unity with the pramaathma is quite different from being the paramaathma. That is the crux of dwaitha.
If you want to debate against the panchabedhas, your own logic will go against you and you will fail miserably.
This has been debated for many centuries by scholars and achaaryas with the highest scholarship abilities time and again and it's a done deal as far as I am concerned and I am not even willing to debate against a topic that has been done to death and proven time and again.
Do you think you are more knowledgeable than the great acharyas who have studied and debated it?. I first would suggest you to read into dwaitha philosophy a bit before venturing into spewing hatred against it.
Madhwas never say don't go to Shiva temple. If at all anyone says that it will be the shrivaishnava who will.
We go to all temples and we have a tharatharam where by Shri Vishnu is first that is all. I personally have visited Vishnu Shiva ganesha muruga maariamman draupadiamman pechiamman naachiamman suryanaarkovil hence all 6 sampradhayas temples.

It only creates deeper divisions that allows foreigners of all colors to tear Bharat apart. Fundamentally, they will destroy Sanatana Dharma that binds all humanity. Majority of people don't need more details than peaceful rightful compassionate life. Only the Vedic scholars need depth of understanding. The term Brahmins needs to be clearly defined. IMHO, brahmins should be those scholars with a certificate, acknowledged by their respective school of thought, & not by family lineage. Caste must become only a literary reference & not for human categories. Please concentrate on bringing the village population (in towns & cities) to the level of conscious thought. What are the qualities of a brahmin? In Chapter 18, Sholka 42, Shree Krishna states, "Tranquility, restraint, austerity, purity, patience, integrity, knowledge, wisdom, and belief are the intrinsic qualities of work for Brahmins."
Does any brahmin today possess any of these qualties.

@@ohm4500 Only swamis, priests, and very few people who follow the "acharna" of brahmins are brahmins. Same applies to people who are Kshatriyas. Only people who defend our dharma is a Kshatriya. PM Narendra Modi, leaders, military people, and those who defend Sanathana dharma are Kshatriyas.
If you have four childern, one can become brahmin, another can become kshatriya, third can become Vaishya, and fourth can be shudra.

@@vish2553 As per Shrimad Bhagvad Gita, Shree Krishna states that all 4 varnas are same. Society's duty is to protect "all" the citizens of the community and not just brahmins. Please do not cook up some fake statement. No where in scriptures or shastras it is mentioned that brahmins are superior and we need to protect only brahmins. Brahmins are not superior to other three varna system.

As an Odia and non-brahmin, I can safely claim that Odisha is the safest place for Hindus as well as Brahmins in general. Here historically speaking, many prominent traditionally Odia temples are served by Dalit priests( like the Jagannath, Tarini temple etc) and in contrast to the north, much of the casteism has toned down to a great deal since the 15th century CE( not completely subsided tho). There are many mixed castes in Odisha historically and even now, like i belong to the most historically politically dominant caste aka the Karanas, who were born out of unions of Brahmins with Kshatriyas, Vaishyas ,Shudras and our kings crystallized us into a single caste in the 11th century AD( we ultimately became the educated class of Odisha, held ministerial posts and held strong matrimonial alliances with Odia kings). Caste has always been somewhat fluid in Odisha, even the Odia kings had a policy to enlist every able-bodied non-Brahmin man in the army, which eroded many distinct differences among castes. Therefore, you wont find honor killings here like the Northern part of India. Brahmins have traditionally been the least casteist here after Assam, ate non-veg, albeit we are mostly Vaishnavaite ethnic group.

Pls compile & publish at least 10 contributions a day of Brahmin Community (especially those contributions from not so familair persons) to Universe/World/Country in various filelds like to Society, Social life, Science, Indian Independence Movement etc.,(People always bash/heckle Brahmins contribution on this). This will help other communities know how important we are.
